## What it does

- Monitors selected market terms and supported public competitor profiles.
- Collects available public evidence from Reddit, Facebook, Instagram, X, and YouTube.
- Preserves source URLs, authors, publication times, matched terms, and source-provided engagement fields.
- Ranks topics using activity, distinct authors, freshness, platform breadth, and available public engagement.
- Generates source-backed content directions and recurring reports for human review.

## Important limits

Public-data coverage varies by platform, account type, authorization, and source availability. A missing metric means unavailable, not zero. What’s Trending does not claim access to private posts or private metrics, and its trend score is a planning aid rather than proof that a topic represents an entire market.
